Our Story

The Snowy Mountains Eucalyptus Oil Company was born on a remote ridgeline, at an altitude of 1200 metres in the Australian high country where fragrant peppermint gums cloak the ranges, and seasonal snowfall adds a touch of magic to everything grown here.

For millennia Eucalyptus preparations were used by Aboriginal people as natural medicines in tonics, infusions and antiseptics. Known to treat gastrointestinal issues, relieve muscle and joint pain and heal wounds, awareness of the remarkable therapeutic properties of Eucalyptus spread from Aboriginal communities to the first Australian colonists.  

At Snowy Mountains Eucalyptus Oil Company, we honour the authenticity of early extraction methods and are committed to preserving the integrity of using only ethically sourced raw materials, to produce hand crafted Eucalyptus oils and infusions.

We selectively harvest naturally occurring leaves early in the morning, then steam distill in pure mountain rainwater to create products that contain no additives, solvents or harsh chemicals.

Our philosophy is to produce sustainable, small batches of essential oils and hydrosols with honest provenance that embody the unique essence of the Australian bush.
